I'm Back

So I've been hella busy this past year what with school driving me crazy, planning to move, moving, settling in at my new school and trying to get the hang of living in a new country all over again. I let down the bar so hard that I hadn't managed to make a single post at all although I followed our team's progress very closely.

Now that I'm settled, you'll see more of my obnoxious posts of rants and jubilation as the case may be. I'll make an encompassing post about the progress of the team after this just to catch up everyone who for some reason have not been able to follow the team as much as they should.

Have a wonderful week

AC Milan vs Chelsea - Pre Season American Tour (Friendly)

Let me begin by saying that my expectation for this match was pretty low, in fact I would have been very happy with a draw but our team managed to pleasantly surprise me.

In the first half, both teams played a testing game where each side was cautiously watching and sizing up the other team. In our fore wing we had Emmanuelson, El Shaarawy and Boateng with the help of Traore and Flamini in the mid field but our chances were very limited with Boateng not picking up his pace until the middle of the first half. Defensively, we had Bonera, Antonini and Yepes on their toes watching out for players like Eden Hazard and the big Lukaku.

Needless to say, the first half ended in a goal-less draw and we all looked forward to the second half hoping that Milan will hang on and hopefully play better in the second half.

The second half saw numerous changes by both teams with Montolivo, Abate, Nocerino, Ganz came in for the Milan squad. The deadlock was broken in the 68th minute when a blocked shot from El Shaarawy was rebounded by Emmanuelson into the Chelsea goal.

There was marked improvement in the Milan game play as the subs worked hard both in Midfield and defense to add pressure on the Chelsea defense and to stop Chelsea from moving forward and converting any of their chances.

With this I and a host of other Milan fans were happy to watch our team hang on to our one goal lead till the blowing of the final whistle.

Our team still has a long way to go but like I said earlier there is still hope for us and this match just gave us something to hold on to.
I look forward to seeing you at our next friendly match, ciao

If Kaka returns to Milan...

I will do cart wheels down my street...it would be the best news ever!!! Like, I'm going to be sitting on the edge of my seat until I find out if he is actually coming back or not. If he does come back, I feel sorry for myself, cos I will celebrate like never before :)

Sad...very sad :(

So these past weeks have been a horror for me and I'm sure it's been a horror to you my fellow Milan fans as we saw not only Ibrahimovich sold but also Thiago Silva. Let's not forget we lost Pirlo not long ago to Juventus and at the end of the season most of our players like Gattuso left so we are left with an empty looking Milan squad.

There's been some backlash from all of this with some fans turning away from the team but even though I am very sad about the recent happenings, I am a die-hard Milan fan who will stick to the bitter end of this bleak period. Of course I am hoping that we will make some relevant transfers that will boost the team during this transfer period but even if we don't I guess I'm stuck with Milan and Milan is stuck with me.

I do hope I will see you guys next season, don't give up yet...please.

My Sincere Apologies

Let me just say how sorry I am that I left you hanging in the middle of the 2011/12 season. There is no excuse except that so many things have been going on in my life right now that updating the site after each match was virtually impossible. To fix this I will now post a summary of our season and hope you can forgive me for slacking.

On the brighter side, I have fixed all and now I am more than ready for the 2012/13 season and I hope I'll see you this coming season.

Genoa vs AC Milan - 3rd December, 2011

This was a match ridden with chances on goal for both sides but the goals did not come until the 56th minute of the game. Both sides had closed defences and the keepers were on point until Genoa gave away a penalty which Ibra wasted no time in converting.

Being a goal up was not enough for us however so we kept chipping away at the Genoa defence with Robinho missing a goal by sending the ball over the bar from a few feet away. Finally, Milan got their second goal in the 79th minute from Nocerino who carefully directed a pass across the goal from Boateng into the Genoa net.

Despite being 2 goals up in the last quarter of the match Milan kept hounding the Genoa defence while keeping a hold on ball possession. All in all, the match was a fun game to watch and we are now topping the league table but we have a championship match coming up next, see you there!!!

AC Milan vs Chievo - 27th November, 2011

For this match, Thiago Silva was our esteemed captain and he showed good leadership by starting out a goal fest in the 8th minute of the game. After a dribble by Boateng who layed the ball down, Thiago delivered a stunning delivery that ripped through the defence and into the left corner of the goal.

The second goal came from Ibrahimovich who delivered a skillful lob at the edge of the area which the goalkeeper could not keep out. It was one of those Ibra signature moves that even the commentators recognised and acclaimed.

The third goal came from a corner kick which the keeper initially saved but was rebounded beautifully by Pato who skillfully displaced the keeper. Pato was not done however, as he played a major role in causing the fourth and final goal of the match.

After executing a beautiful dribble, Pato made a run into the Chievo box where he was promptly rumpled by the Chievo defence resulting in a penalty kick for us. The penalty was taken by Ibra who once again showed his amazing skill infont of the goal with a top right corner penalty that the keeper neither anticipated or expected.

All in all, Milan was sharp in front of goal, and tight at the back which I personally think is what is needed to win any match. This was a match worth watching and now we look forward to our next match, see you there.

AC Milan vs Catania - 6th November, 2011

This was another spectacular match by the Rossoneri which ended in a 4-0 win at the San Siro. Milan got their first goal when Robinho was fouled in the box and a penalty was awarded and was taken by Ibrahimovich. Ibrahimovich and Robinho collaborated again to get the second goal when Robinho recieved a cross from Ibra and proceeded to dance his way into the Catania box then delivered the ball to the back of the net with a great right foot shot.

Robinho was not done yet even after getting a penalty and scoring a goal, he was still active at the front and this resulted in the 3rd goal from a close range shot which could not be stopped. With 3 goals to their name, Milan was not satisfied however and went on to seal the victory with a final goal from Zambrotta who rebounded a freekick taken by Aquilani.

This win moved Milan to the third position on the league table putting us one point behind the league leaders. We are optimistic about the coming matches as it seems that Milan is gradually rising to form, see you at the next match.
